of an Altogether Care Carer
What is it really like to work as a community carer at Altogether Care? In this short film, hear directly from members of our team as they share what their working day involves – from the first visit in the morning to the final call of the evening.

The film also features Altogether Care’s Registered Manager, Caitlin, whose inspiring career journey highlights the opportunities for growth and progression available within the care sector. Caitlin joined Altogether Care as a Care Worker in 2014. Within a year, she was promoted to Care Coordinator and then Field Care Supervisor. In early 2016, Caitlin became a Manager before successfully completing her application to become a Registered Manager later that year.
Like Caitlin, many of our colleagues begin their journey in frontline care and go on to develop their skills, take on new responsibilities and build fulfilling long-term careers with Altogether Care. With training, support and opportunities to progress, we are proud to help our people grow.

As a result of our success and ongoing expansion, Altogether Care has opportunities for both experienced and newly qualified RMN or RGN nurses to join our specialist elder and dementia care teams.

Altogether Care believes in nurturing talent and has an established robust workforce development programme. This combined with our organisation’s ambitious expansion plans provides the opportunity for progression within the organisation through service management and clinical leadership roles into strategic & operational senior management.
Typically we would expect a member of our nursing team in a full-time role to work 42 + hours per week in flexible shift pattern which can include some night and weekend cover.
All new nurses are given industry-standard induction training, to include health and safety, manual handling and food hygiene and will be actively encouraged and supported to continue their professional development.

What support and progressions opportunities are available for employees?
Applicants must:
- Have a valid NMC PIN (we would still like to hear from those awaiting their PIN)
- Be prepared to complete an application for a full DBS disclosure
- Have 2 suitable references (professional and/or educational)
- Have a good standard of verbal and written English (or be prepared to further their language skills)
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Good verbal/written communication skills
- A commitment to maintaining standards and providing quality person-centred care.
