Steve

With over three decades dedicated to the care sector, Stephen Knell, our CEO and the son of our founders, possesses a profound and hands-on understanding intricately interwoven with our family values. Assuming the role of CEO in 2012, he has successfully steered the company through unprecedented growth, shaping it into the service we proudly offer today across the South West. While at the helm, he actively engages with Altogether Care’s teams, meticulously overseeing operations and intricacies within our Care Homes and Home Care Services.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Steve demonstrates a strong commitment to the communities he serves by being co-opted onto the Hangers Heroes Committee. During his leisure time, he seeks solace in running marathons, an impressive tally of 155 completed to date. These endeavors provide him with moments for reflection and relaxation, offering a welcome respite from the demands of such a busy work schedule.

Our Founders

Brian and Margaret, joined the care sector in 1988 with a vision to provide community and residential care for older people based on family values. They know that the business is in good hands with their trusted management board and care staff, who continue to live and breathe the same family ethos that they built the business with all those years ago.

The second and third generation of family members are also closely involved with leading and running the business into its next generation of developments.
